Del Mar Wedding Flight
For an unforgettable experience, get married in our hot air balloon, adorned with flowers and streaming ribbons. Your guests will follow in additional balloons and listen to your vows over our aircraft radios. Additionally, a popular choice is departing the church or reception in a hot air balloon, tossing the bouquet from the basket as you ascend.
The flight duration is approximately one hour in the air, with the total experience lasting about 2.5 hours from beginning to end. Our package includes ground transportation from Palm Springs, Palm Desert, La Quinta, Thermal, Indio, Indian Wells, or Cathedral City. If we are providing ground transportation, the meeting time will be slightly earlier.
You will need to obtain your marriage license in advance. The license is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance, and the ceremony must take place within that timeframe. Our officiant pilot will take care of submitting the paperwork to the county on your behalf after completing the ceremony.
Traditionally, all shipmasters have enjoyed the privilege of uniting people in matrimony. Several of our pilots are ordained officiants capable of performing your wedding mid-flight. The officiant pilot will finalize your marriage license documents and send them to the county clerk recorder where they were issued. The marriage license must be acquired less than 90 days before the flight. A hot air balloon wedding offers a memorable experience for your guests and presents an affordable alternative to traditional venues.
If your wedding party exceeds the capacity of a single balloon, we will deploy multiple balloons to fly alongside each other, using our aircraft radios to broadcast the ceremony to all attendees. This early morning tour package includes a champagne, juice, or mimosa toast, a selection of individually wrapped breakfast items, complimentary digital souvenir photos, celebratory banners, a commemorative flight certificate, 2-for-1 wine tasting vouchers to local Temecula wineries (offering a $150 savings), and other discounts.
